I hate buying expensive stuff for craft projects (I prefer to spend my money on tools). For me, the real spirit of DIY is to recycle.
A lot of projects require small pieces of leather (no matter if it’s real or artificial). Got some old purses with broken handles or holes? Perfect. Cut ‘em up and stash the leather. Don’t forget zippers, rings, studs etc.
